Traffic, a global transportation solutions company, announced on the 31st Aug, 2023 that CEO Chan-jong Moon participated in the 'Cool Korea Challenge', a relay campaign for energy conservation.

The Cool Korea Challenge is a relay campaign run jointly by the Korea Energy Agency and fashion group Hyungji with the goal of saving cooling energy by wearing cool and simple clothes in the summer. It has a practical purpose of saving energy by lowering the perceived temperature in summer by 2 to 3 degrees through cool clothing, and has a public interest meaning of participating in environmental protection by actively responding to global warming.

Even though we are entering fall, the average temperature in September is similar to or higher than normal, and the heat wave continues. In the late heat, Chan-jong Moon, CEO of STraffic, was pointed out by Hyung-hwan Lee, Chairman of Motrex. I sympathized with the good idea of saving cooling energy by lowering body heat by wearing cool, simple clothes, so I willingly participated.

Chan-jong Moon, CEO of STraffic, said, “These days, when global warming is felt as a reality, the use of hybrid cars with low carbon dioxide emissions and electric vehicles using electricity produced from new and renewable energy is increasing.” He added, “To promote the use of public transportation instead of private cars, we need to expand and implement campaigns to save energy, such as participation in alternate no-driving system and the bicycle commuting challenge.”

He continued, “Even in the office, there are various ways to practice green digital, such as putting digital devices in sleep mode, turning off the power, reducing screen brightness, blocking personal data collection and tracking when visiting websites, and downloading and watching music and videos instead of streaming.” “Through small actions, we can reduce carbon emissions and respond to global warming,” he added.

Meanwhile, CEO Moon Chan-jong nominated Jeong Ha-joong, CEO of Siemens Korea, as the next runner in the relay campaign.
