Introduction
With accumulated experience, STraffic has a competitive edge in future projects, including ticket vending machines, centralized systems, and the replacement of over 1,200 aging Faregates for LA Metro. The LA Metro project has further solidified STraffic’s position in the US AFC market. Its successful implementation in major US metropolitan traffic markets, such as Washington, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, has established STraffic as a key player in the industry. Additionally, the potential for new business opportunities has increased. STraffic is well-positioned to secure follow-up projects for LA Metro, such as Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) and centralized systems. We also expect to gain an advantage in the
ongoing evaluation of the New York MTA Faregate Qualified Product List (QPL).
STraffic was awarded the Faregate Replacement Project for LA Metro, aiming to enhance security and reduce fare evasion across multiple stations. The project involves the installation of taller, stronger fare gates to improve passenger flow and ensure a more controlled transit environment.
