Suwon-bound KTX Project

Phase 1 and Phase 2-1 track layout modification works at Pyeongtaek–Jije Station under the Suwon-bound KTX Direct Connection Project have been successfully completed.

 

Project Overview

• Project: Suwon-bound KTX Direct Connection Project – High-Speed Railway Train Control System Procurement and Installation (R2024062)

• Period: August 16, 2024 – March 31, 2027

• Responsible Unit: Rail Delivery Center & Signal Development Team, Railroad Transportation Business Division

 

Track Layout Modification (Phase 1 & Phase 2-1)

• Period: December 22, 2025 – January 12, 2026

• Locations: Dongtan Station, Pyeongtaek–Jije Station, and SRT Suseo Station (Dongtan LCP)

• Participants: ESTraffic, LS ELECTRIC, KR, KORAIL, Signal Supervisors, and Contractors

• Key Achievements:

Completion of KR & KORAIL joint tests, including CTC testing
Software cutover of SSI 113, FEPOL, and LCP systems
Cutover of TFM monitoring and electrical technical support systems

• Phase 1: Commissioning of turnout No. 1544 for high-speed operation

• Phase 2-1: Decommissioning and partial removal of turnout No. 1521
