The Padma Bridge is set to introduce a non-stop Electronic Toll Collection System (ETC), allowing vehicles to pay tolls automatically without stopping.

The pilot operation of this service will begin at 2PM on Monday. 

Vehicles will be able to pass through designated lanes at a minimum speed of 30km/h, with tolls automatically deducted from their registered accounts.

To use the ETC service, motorists must first register their vehicles and recharge their accounts via the 'd-Toll' option in Trust Bank's TAP app.

Then, during the first visit, they must complete RFID tag registration at the Padma Bridge RFID booth to access the ETC lanes.

In the future, the system will be integrated with other financial apps beyond TAP, and the a2i program of the ICT Division is working to enable these connections.
