On March 27, 2025, Sogang University signed a cooperation agreement with leading companies such as Motrex Co., Ltd., InnoX Advanced Materials, Straffic Co., Ltd., and YMC Co., Ltd., to establish the Pangyo Digital Innovation Campus. This campus, located in the heart of Pangyo Techno Valley, will foster startups in AI, semiconductors, and advanced mobility over the next 10 years, while serving as a global hub for industry-academic collaboration.
The campus will feature 10,000 square meters of space dedicated to education, research, and startup incubation, including the establishment of the "Sogang AI Open Innovation Center," a first-of-its-kind collaboration space for universities and companies. Programs include semiconductor design education, startup acceleration for deep science-based ventures, and joint funding with venture capital to support global expansion.
Global organizations such as TNO Asia, alongside institutions from India and China, will join as partners. This initiative aims to create a transformative industry-academic model, empowering Sogang University students to launch startups and secure investments, thereby positioning Pangyo as a global center for innovation.
